Research
Support at Regent's

At Regent’s, we promote and support research that adds value to students’ learning experience and enhances the reputation of our staff.

The vitality of our academic programmes is enriched by applied research that also produces cutting-edge knowledge and contributes to global scholarly debate.

We support research in a number of ways, locally and centrally. Faculties and the Regent’s Institute of Languages and Cultures each have a Research Committee that designs and monitors strategy, as well as distributing funding to research projects.

The Head of Academic Practice works with the University’s Senate Research Committee, and with local Research Leaders to design and deliver research strategies and plans.

Working with Learning and Development, the Academic Practice Hub provides training and development to meet the needs of academic staff in areas such as research student supervision and examining, research methods and research ethics; while the support required in more discipline-based areas is co-ordinated by Faculty and Institute Research Leaders.
