Regent’s offers a uniquely rounded approach to training for the creative industries, where you learn about all aspects of the craft from day one.
Whether your passion is acting, producing, directing, writing or film-making, you become immersed in all aspects of creating for screen and stage to develop a fully three-dimensional understanding. From a solid grounding in theory, you will grow with strong personal support and excellent facilities to embrace a wealth of practical experience.
A microcosm of the industry
Our unique approach gives you an intensive training that encompasses a broad range of skills. Actors learn about scriptwriting, directing and stage management. Scriptwriters learn to make films and producers to write screenplays. You have the independence to develop your own projects, with plenty of one-to-one guidance from your teachers and tutors. And you all work together on collaborative projects, taking on a variety of roles as scriptwriters, actors, filmmakers, directors and producers. It’s a microcosm of the industry at large.
Real-world vocational skills
We created our programmes in collaboration with industry experts, so that the modules you study give you real-world vocational skills. You will have plenty of opportunity to put what you study into practice, learning from outstanding working practitioners. You also have access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, including our own TV studio and theatre. The cosmopolitan Regent’s community and international links give you a global perspective and help you build vital networks in the industry.
Creativity as a transferable skill
You will gain more than practical experience and multiple creative skills in your time with us – you’ll develop invaluable skills in analytical thinking, communication, project management and presentation. Your work on a range of different creative projects will give you the courage to be innovative and entrepreneurial. Whether you choose to build your career in the creative industries, launch your own company or move into other fields, you will be well equipped for your future.
