Regent’s saddened by student death

02 November 2016

It is with great sadness that we have been informed that one of the members of our Regent’s family, Filippo Corsini, died following a tragic road traffic incident on Monday 31 October.

Our thoughts and condolences are with Filippo’s family at this difficult time and also with all of his friends, fellow students and tutors. Filippo was a first-year BA International Business student who was held in high esteem by all.

“Regent’s is a small university with a family ethos and our staff and students are deeply affected by the loss of one of our own. He will be greatly missed by everybody,” said Vice Chancellor Professor Aldwyn Cooper.

The University is planning a memorial for staff and students to commemorate Filippo’s life and have opened a Book of Condolences at reception, which we will give to the family.

Students and staff attended a mass for Filippo at the Brompton Oratory, in Knightsbridge, and as a mark of respect we are flying our campus flag at half-mast.

Students and staff are being offered counselling support.
