The Regent’s Centre for Transnational Studies

The Regent’s Centre for Transnational Studies (RCTS) promotes quality research and scholarship that matters to wider society and benefits students, researchers and others at Regent’s and beyond.

The RCTS focuses on the transnational phenomena cross cutting disciplinary boundaries of Management, Economics, Sociology, and other Social Sciences. The Centre also promotes advanced interdisciplinary research and teaching across a broad range of fields in social and management sciences.

The Centre’s research focuses on seven multi-disciplinary areas, broadly defined as:RCTS_event

  • Transnational Management
  • Transnational Marketing
  • Transnational Finance
  • Transnational Mobility
  • Transnational Higher Education
  • Transnational Law and Conflict Resolution
  • Cross-cultural Studies.

Members are working on these research streams either individually or in teams.

Developing and forging a transnational research community, RCTS accommodates about 15 academic members based at Regent’s, many affiliate members from other institutions, and visiting research fellows from abroad. Thus, the RCTS continued forging academic ties with research communities within the UK and beyond particularly in the areas of transnational marketing, transnational finance, and transnational mobility.

The research projects carried out and events organized by the Centre contribute to the academic life at Regent's. The guest lectures, transnational marketing seminars, remittances roundtable, B2B SIG Colloquium of Academy of Marketing panels and the successful international conferences such as Turkish Migration Conferences offer opportunities for research collaboration.
