Our MPhil and PhD degrees are validated by the University of Northampton. Our expertise stretches across a wide range of subjects in our two faculties of Business & Management and Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences, and the Regent’s Institute of Languages & Culture.

The learning and teaching environment for potential PhD degrees is underpinned by the six inter-disciplinary research centres based in the University. How to Apply

Please note that we are only able to sponsor full-time students on this programme for a Tier 4 visa.

To apply for a PhD/doctoral programme, you will generally need to hold an honours degree at 2:1 level or above (or international equivalent) in an appropriate subject. A higher degree such as a master’s may be required.

Applicants for whom English is not their first language will need to demonstrate that they meet the minimum English language requirement of IELTS at 7.0 and no component less than 6.5 (or equivalent).

Please state your area of study and the proposed direction of your research. Please also state whether you have a specific supervisor in mind. Your enquiry will be forwarded to the relevant research head, who will contact you for further discussion.

The next stage will be to submit a formal written application. Please complete the application form and submit to admit@regents.ac.uk.

Your application will be considered jointly by Regent’s and the University of Northampton. We aim to process all applications within six weeks of the point of submission. Candidates will be required to attend an interview prior to an offer being made, either on campus or via Skype.
